I cannot say enough good things about Ned and the team he has assembled at Stein Automotive! I have worked with Ned for many years and have found him to be honest beyond reproach when it comes to dealing with my car. Ned has hired several impressive people over the years who have followed his standards. James is one of the most recent hires and it is my experience with Ned and James that prompted me to write this review. I own a 2000 Mercedes ML320 which I bought new in November of 2000. I just crossed over 245,000 miles and I have put every mile on that SUV. As soon as it was out of warranty, I began taking it to Ned. He was always honest and open about repairs that needed to be done. About a year and a half ago, I decided I was going to keep my ML320 and so I put some money into it to fix some issues it was having. Ned gave me very good advice about what to expect from this car and what would be asking too much. Well, sadly, just recently, James told me that a repair that needed to be made for safety purposes was going to cost a significant amount of money...much more than was reasonable to spend. As Ned has always done, James was very honest in his assessment. He said "...I know you love this car, but honestly it's time to move on." That statement struck me because in giving me that advice, for all he knew he was going to lose a customer if I chose to buy a new car. He did have my best interest at heart! So, I am now in the market for a used Mercedes to replace my ML320 and I can assure you that no one other than Ned and his team at Stein will service that vehicle! Thank you Ned and James!!

They charged me $3k for a 120k mile tune up and they told me they repaired issues with my breaks and transmission. There were 0 issues with my car before their "tune up". I took my car to another mechanic because I started noticing issues with my breaks and transmission shortly after the "tune up". The mechanic found and fixed the issues I complained about and looked at the work order from Stein Auto. He could not figure out what/if they had done anything based on the work order. And he charged me 3 times less than Stein auto for the work that he actually did. I know we still love in a world where it is misconceived that women know nothing about cars. But I am not s woman that does not know her car. I may not be able to fix my car, but I can explain what I believe is the issue and I can explain what I see, feel or notice different in my car. And i noticed 0 leaks, or transmission issues (my transmission engaged just fine prior to Stein auto getting thier hands on it) until i foolishly took it into Stein auto. Never again will i allow them to over charge me for lack of work in my car. I was also told they guarantee their work. Don't believe this farce. After $3000 dollars paid to Stein auto I ended up paying another mechanic a third of that to actually do work on my car. It's an American car, it shouldn't have been this complicated.

I had just left my office on Dutchmans when a bunch of systems started failing on my vehicle very suddenly. I was afraid I would not make it home so I pulled into Stein Automotive to see if I could just get some quick advice. I wasn’t sure if I could drive safely to my dealership for service or if I needed a tow. When I walked into Stein, 3 personnel were seated behind the counter with no other customers. I asked if somebody could help me out, a gentleman proceeded to tell me they were closing in an hour, work only by appointment and could only help me by running a diagnostic test the following day. Basically they won’t help me. So I found the next closest auto repair shop and made it there very slowly. The place was called Ken Lowery’s. When I went inside, a gentleman approached and asked if he could help me. I told him the same information I had told Stein and he immediately went out to my car, turned it on and said without a%100 guarantee he believed my alternator was going out. He suggested I have it towed to my dealership since it was still under warranty. He allowed me to wait in the parking lot for my tow. That is real customer service. I work for a large corporation that specializes in customer service and I plan on letting them know of the horrible experience I had at Stein Automotive.

Ms Baird seems to be very knowledgeable about computer usage as it related to billing. But she needs to learn something from Mr Steinke about customer management.

Robert I agree we are not the cheapest nor will we ever be. We have factory tools and equipment to be able to provide outstanding service and quality repairs on some of the most high end vehicles, Porsches, Mercedes Benz, BMW. We provide a outstanding 3 year 36,000 mile warranty on most repairs. We provide a shuttle service for customer service, a complimentary car wash after repairs are performed. We have highly skilled master technicians that are very skilled in their trade. We provide a digital inspection report on all vehicles and send them via text to our clients phones. We could not provide the outstanding service & quality work if we were the cheapest around. Experienced, trained, qualified, professional Labor Isn't Cheap.

Kenny and the staff at Stein have taken care of all of our auto service needs. We feel so comfortable with the service my college age daughter knows to go see Kenny when she has a problem.
