Beware. This shop is under new ownership. I have used Stein Auto for over 10 years to service my Crossfire. There was never any question about honesty or integrity. If someone from Stein told me my car needed something I was able to take their word for it. Every time they had my car in their shop it was inspected from bumper to bumper. I recently took my Crossfire in because the motor smelled hot. After several hrs I was texted an estimate for over $4,500.00! When I questioned Ken he said that some of the items could wait, such as a rear tire that was losing 5lbs of air every couple of weeks, and other maintenance items that weren't due until April of 2019. The bill dropped to just over $2,700.00. When I picked up the car I questioned why none of the work that was " needed" such as a "corroded" knuckle support was present when the car was serviced four months prior while previous owners were still there. And the tire that "needed replacement " had been "temporarily "plugged! I cannot even go into the absurdity of this situation. In the end I paid the $2,700 and will never use the services of this company in the future. I do not like being ripped off!

Over priced service - got a quote for $2556 to replace my clutch, Though i would give them a shot since my regular mechanic was backed up. My mechanic service my car for $1246, for the SAME REPAIR!! Also, Stein charged me for the estimate without communicating that estimates are not free!! OVER PRICED!!

Mr Leandru, I don’t believe you are painting a accurate picture. The monies that you spent with us was for diagnosing the squealing noise in your vehicle, not just creating a estimate. The particular vehicle you have has a dual mass flywheel and should be replaced when ever servicing the clutch disc. Stein Automotive has a 3 year,36,000 mile warranty on all our repairs and we only use Original Equipment parts or something equivalent. Our Technicians are factory trained and ASE Certified to ensure your vehicle is properly diagnosed and repaired. I’m not sure what part of that repair was left out but at Stein we do a complete repair so that you can feel satisfied with the performance of your vehicle. We want our customers to be completely satisfied so Please call me at the store if you would like to discuss further.

They misdiagnose your car, charge you for it anyway, then threaten to sue you if you try to get your money back or leave a negative review on them.
